The Texas Summer Heat
Friends, Partners, Caregivers and Requestors:
Due to the summertime Texas heat – we normally suspend deployments starting July 1 and resume placements after Labor Day depending on the heat index. This year, due to the volume of pending requests and limited resources, we are no longer able to confirm placements for Barn Cat Ferals after June 1, 2026. If you have submitted a request, we are planning to fulfill your request. New requests may be considered depending upon climate controlled acclimation areas.
